Moonscrapers
Moonscrapers is a vertical RTS, set during an alternate version of the Cold War in which rocket technology has not been invented. Nonetheless, the USA and the Soviet Union have become entangled in space race, but not the kind you'd expect. Despite the absence of spacecraft technology, both factions are attempting to become the first nation to reach the moon, quite simply by building a tower to reach it.
The game allows two players to compete in a head-to-head race to build a tower to the moon. Players need to find a balance between establishing a stronger economy, enhancing the offensive or defensive capabilities of their tower and the rate at which they expand upwards. Additionally, if players are fast enough, they are able to build horizontally over their opponents tower, block them from building upwards and forcing them to have to build around.
Moonscrapers was created by a team of around ten students at any given time, over the course of 28 days. During first half of the project's duration, I was active as the Team Lead and assisted the Design team.
